Food we tried that I'd recommend: - breakfast burrito (Do it and add avocado if you like that sort of thing) - açaí bowl has this crazy non dairy foam and macadamia nuts, I died and went to heaven - the traditional breakfast Sammy, easy classic and good Drinks: - if they still have the strawberry milk matcha DO IT - iced shark bite latte YUM Such a cute spot, such friendly people (they told me they made my latte with extra love hahaha how cute) and would definitely recommend.

Cute little spot in Kapaa. Service was super friendly, but the wait was really long! It took a good 30 minutes for one coffee, an acai bowl and bagel. I recommend coming here when they open to avoid the line out the door. The guava cheesecake was hands down the BEST. I would come back here just for that. Super super good, it was my favorite dessert on this trip.

TLDR : Great coffee, wonderful bakery and pretty ambiance Tried the Java Kai kauai coffee during our trip to Kauai! Luckiwe tried it on the first day and this ended up being our first stop during the trip. Absolutely loved their coffees and sandwiches which we generally took to go for our day trips around the island and not once did we complain!

My daughter found this place online. It was on our way so we made a stop for breakfast. Cute little coffee shop with great food & Service. We got there before 7:30am right after we ordered it got busy fast.

I went here about 2 years ago & it still haunts me to this day. We luckily stumbled into Java Kai on our 2nd day of our vacation for breakfast & returned every day. The food & drinks are to die for. The ingredients are so fresh. I recommended to a friend that was traveling to Kauai & she also ended up going every day. We all shipped back coffee to our homes. Java Kai may be the best thing on Kauai. You must stop here!!!

Java Kai was cute. Conveniently located and has serveral breakfast options from waffles and breakfast sandwiches to fresh fruit and smoothie bowls. It was definitely one of the much more expensive places we went paying $9 for lattes and $17 for our sandwich that was very good, however it was bacon, eggs and a tomato slice. The service was fine. Nice. We didn't get our coffees until long after our food was gone but the coffee itself was very good. Dark and bold, not over sweetened by syrups or flavors and we did not order half sweet. I do recommend ordering a chocolate latte or something with chocolate because the chocolate flavor was different. Darker and richer like they used real cacao.

This cute and cozy coffee shop was recommended to us to try. It didn't disappoint with their wide selection of coffee and breakfast options. The place was very clean and parking was easy to find on the street. We ordered a black coffee, Latte, and the Açaí berry bowl to go so we could watch the sunrise. It did take a while to get our order because they were busy so I recommend getting there a few minutes earlier if you have somewhere to be. The staff were very nice and helpful when it came to ordering and getting our order. I highly recommend this place, we will be going back for sure.
